The stock discussion groups are continuing to meet virtually using Zoom. Look for the events under “What’s New” on our homepage to receive that month’s meeting ID and passcode.
The Ledyard Library offers two monthly stock discussions. There is one for beginners, and one for those more experienced in investing. You do not have to be a current investor to join. Feel free to stop in just to learn something new about the process!
The beginner stock discussion group meets on the third Tuesday of each month at the Gales Ferry Library at 7 PM. The primary purpose of this group is to provide a forum to present basic information about stock investing and to address questions from individuals who have an interest in getting started in stock investing.
The more advanced stock discussion group meets on the first Tuesday of each month at the Gales Ferry Library at 7 PM. Discussion this quarter will cover individual company annual reports or 10K forms. We will be tracking our stock and fund selections in our fantasy portfolio. We will include current events affecting the stock market in general and major economic indicators which track development of the business cycle.
