The Friends of the Ledyard Library is a community membership organization that supports the Bill and Gales Ferry Libraries. The Friends use funds raised through book and coffee sales, special events and dues to support programs, purchase equipment, museum passes and other items that benefit all library patrons. Friends enjoy early, members-only admission to book sales and dues are fully tax deductible as a charitable contribution for federal income tax purposes. New members are always welcome. Join Today!
A Word from the Friends, October 2020:
The Friends of the Ledyard Libraries will be holding a virtual General Membership meeting on October 15, 2020 from 7:00 to 8:00 pm. The meeting will be hosted by Gale Bradbury using the libraries’ Zoom software license. As well as providing an overview of the status of current and future Friends activities on behalf of the Ledyard Library, we will be presenting the Friends budget for 2021. Friends and library patrons are invited. To attend, please visit the library web site and click on the link for this meeting.
Remember that the Gales Ferry Book Cellar located in the lower level is now open to library patrons. Stop by and purchase a gently used book for fall reading. And of course, please follow safety protocols of social distancing, hand sanitizing, and wearing masks while in the library building. Sorry, we are not yet accepting book donations.
I look forward to seeing you all at the library, virtually for now, and in person again when we emerge from the pandemic.
Harry Pearson, President, Friends of the Ledyard Libraries
